Nancy Barron is a self-taught photographer who is a Michigan native and has spent every summer for the past 25 years at her Upper Peninsula cottage on the shores of Lake Huron. She credits that beautiful area for the desire to begin to capture God’s creation with her camera.
“I initially photographed sunsets from the deck of the cottage – my daughters silhouetted against sunsets, swans at sunset, storm clouds at sunset… but then I visited Key West. Oh yes, they have sunsets, but the architecture and ambiance of the tropics expanded my horizons. Then I visited Italy and discovered a treasure trove of ancient beauty.”
Her favorite subjects now include Italy, Key West, Mackinac Island and Michigan’s wildlife and changing seasons.
